Effect of Superparamagnetic Fe 3 O 4 Nanoparticles on Schottky Barriers of Graphene

چکیده
We demonstrated the effect of superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles on Schottky barriers of graphene, in which the Fe3O4 nanoparticles were fabricated by a hydrothermal method and the single-layer graphene sheets were mechanically exfoliated from Kish graphite. The Fe3O4 nanoparticles were superparamagnetic with the saturation magnetic moment of about 32 emu/g at room temperature. We have found that the Fe3O4 nanoparticles decorated on the graphene surface can dramatically modify the Schottky barriers of the whole devices possibly due to the magnetic stray field from the Fe3O4 nanoparticles in proximity to the graphene. . The Schottky barrier could be tuned by the quantity of Fe3O4 nanoparticles.

Despite the increasing rate of nanoparticles (NPS) production and their application in agriculture, few studies have focused on their effect on plant growth. So, the present research was conducted in laboratory and greenhouse conditions. First, superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONS) with a humic acid coating (Fe3O4/HA) were synthesized in laboratory...

Multifunctional nanomaterials with unique magnetic and luminescent properties have broad potential in biological applications. Because of the overexpression of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) receptors in inflammatory endothelial cells as compared with normal endothelial cells, an anti-VCAM-1 monoclonal antibody can be used as a targeting ligand. Herein we describe the development of...

N-sodium acrylate-O-carboxymethyl chitosan [CMCH-g-PAA(Na)] bound Fe3O4 nanoparticles were developed as a novel magnetic nanoparticles with an ionic structure that can be potentially used in many fields. CMCH-g-PAA (Na) was obtained by grafting of sodium polyacrylate on O-carboxymethyl chitosan, which is an amphiphilic polyelectrolyte with the biocompatibility and biodegra...
